Coinbase reports Solana and Zcash transfer delays

Two networks, back to back. Zcash transfer delays began at 20:12 PDT on October 30; Solana’s followed at 07:38 PDT on October 31, less than 12 hours later. Both were logged as separate incidents on the exchange’s status pages — the Zcash notice and the Solana incident notice — and both affected sends and receives while leaving buys, sells, and fiat rails untouched.

The affected components differed by incident. Zcash hit Digital Currencies (Zcash). Solana’s scope was wider, touching Coinbase Website, Coinbase Mobile, and Digital Currencies (Solana). For anyone trying to move funds off the platform during those windows, the distinction was real.

The Zcash window ran at least 3 hours and 32 minutes — first notice at 20:12 PDT, fix notice at 23:44 PDT, with Coinbase noting the fix had been implemented and was being monitored. Solana was shorter: 41 minutes from first notice at 07:38 PDT to fix notice at 08:19 PDT, when Coinbase said it had identified the issue, implemented a fix, and was monitoring results.

Coinbase didn’t publish the number of affected users or transactions, the root cause, or an estimated completion time for all delayed transfers in the status details for either incident.

Two different networks failing in close succession does leave open the question of whether this reflects shared Coinbase infrastructure strain or separate network-specific integration problems. The status records don’t establish which. A completed fix on Solana doesn’t confirm anything about Zcash’s transfer reliability, and vice versa.

There’s also prior context worth noting. The Block reported that a May 7, 2026 disruption at Coinbase — AWS-linked, per that reporting — delayed Aleo and Solana sends and receives and triggered temporary trading restrictions, as detailed in its May 8 report. The current notices name no vendor and offer no shared cause.
