What this desk covers
Each exchange page collects three things: the tax forms that exchange sends to US customers, guides to its tax documents and safety record, and every news story CoinScoop has published about it. That makes the news timeline a running record of outages, listings, legal actions and security incidents.
Crypto taxes in 2026: the 1099-DA
From tax year 2025, US exchanges report your crypto sales to the IRS on Form 1099-DA. From tax year 2026 they also report cost basis, but only for crypto bought on the same exchange after 2025. Start with our exchange-specific tax guides above, and see the Learn hub for all CoinScoop guides.
