Binance sets 22 pair removals and collateral changes
Binance is removing 22 trading pairs and adjusting collateral ratios for PUMP, POLYX, and ONG on October 30, affecting spot bots and margin positions.
The primary spot announcement explains the decision in broad terms: Binance reviews listed pairs periodically “to protect users and maintain a high quality trading market,” with poor liquidity and trading volume among the factors that can trigger a delisting.
At that same moment, Binance will close open positions, run automatic settlement and cancel pending orders on all ten pairs. Users who want to manage their own exits need to close positions or move assets from Margin Accounts to Spot Accounts before 06:00 UTC; any positions still open at the deadline will be closed and automatically settled by Binance, while pending orders will be cancelled.
Twelve spot pairs plus ten cross-margin pairs is 22 affected markets total. The split matters because the two categories run on different schedules and carry different consequences — spot users lose the markets and their associated bot services, while margin users face forced closure and order cancellation on a separate clock.
The collateral changes also land at 06:00 UTC on October 30. Under the collateral-ratio announcement, PUMP’s ratio under Portfolio Margin and Cross Margin moves from 50% to 60%. POLYX and ONG each go from 10% to 30% under those same modes.
For POLYX and ONG, that’s a 200% increase in the stated ratio: (30% − 10%) / 10% × 100% = 200%. The change affects borrowing capacity and uniMMR for users holding positions against those assets; the notice warns that liquidation or losses may result. Binance told users to “monitor uniMMR closely to avoid any potential liquidation or losses that may result from the change of collateral ratio and leverage.”
This fits into a longer documented sequence. In a September 18 update, Binance cut AUCTION, BLUR, GALA, HYPER, S and SYRUP from 30% to 10%, while pushing ARB, TAO and WLD from 50% to 60%, according to Coinsevent.com. October 30 adds another round — same pattern, different assets, with hard deadlines at 03:00 and 06:00 UTC.
