Binance sets VELODROME-to-AERO migration timetable
Binance has released its schedule for converting Velodrome Finance (VELODROME) tokens to Aerodrome (AERO) at a 1:0.044 ratio, with the combined protocol launching October 21, 2026.
Binance has published its operational schedule for handling the Velodrome Finance (VELODROME) token merge into Aerodrome (AERO), including the AERO contract swap. The exchange’s primary announcement covers deadlines across trading, transfers, derivatives, lending and yield products.
Binance will convert all VELODROME balances to AERO at a ratio of 1 VELODROME to 0.044 AERO. Old AERO converts to new AERO at 1:1. The exchange has specified exactly how it will handle every product category.
The combined protocol, called Aero, is scheduled to go live on October 21, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. ET, according to CoinStats. The migration window runs November 2 through November 4, during which deposits and withdrawals of the old tokens will pause.
Spot-market deadline
Deposits and withdrawals of VELODROME suspend thirty minutes later, at 03:30 UTC on November 3; Binance says deposits and withdrawals will no longer be supported after the event is complete.
Other conversion routes close earlier. Binance Convert drops VELODROME and all associated pairs at 02:00 UTC on November 3. Convert Low-Value Assets removes VELODROME at 02:00 UTC on November 2, as does Buy & Sell Crypto at the same timestamp. Binance Gift Card removes VELODROME at 03:00 UTC on November 3. Binance Pay drops it from its supported-cryptocurrency list at 07:00 UTC on October 30 — several days before the spot delisting.
Derivatives and lending close first
The earliest action hits Binance Margin. Cross Margin and Isolated Margin borrowings for VELODROME suspend at 06:00 UTC on October 20. Binance Loans — Flexible Rates and VIP Loan — will close all outstanding VELODROME loan positions at 03:00 UTC on October 28.
Binance Futures will stop users from opening new positions in the USDⓈ-M VELODROMEUSDT Perpetual Futures Contract at 08:30 UTC on October 28. Thirty minutes later, at 09:00 UTC, the exchange closes all positions and runs an automatic settlement. Margin removal follows at 10:00 UTC on October 28, when VELODROME comes off both Cross Margin and Isolated Margin. The contract is settled well before the spot-token conversion window opens; any exposure still on the perpetual at the stated settlement time is subject to Binance’s automatic closeout.
Simple Earn runs on its own timetable. Binance ceases support for VELODROME Simple Earn Flexible Products at 07:00 UTC on November 2, and after 08:00 UTC on November 6 it will resubscribe converted AERO assets to Flexible Products for affected users. The announcement does not specify when AERO deposits and withdrawals will reopen — users should distinguish between the published VELODROME suspension time and the later availability of AERO services.
Supply arithmetic and holder exposure
The conversion terms change the stated AERO supply figures. According to Binance, total AERO supply will rise from 2 billion to 2.12 billion — a 120 million-token increase, or 6%, calculated as (2.12 billion minus 2 billion) divided by 2 billion. Circulating AERO supply will move from 1 billion to 1.07 billion, Binance says, a 70 million-token increase, or 7% by (1.07 billion minus 1 billion) divided by 1 billion.
Those percentages describe the supply change built into the migration terms. They say nothing about price.
CoinStats reported that AERO rose about 48% in the 30 days before the scheduled October 21 merger with Velodrome. That price move is separate from Binance’s conversion mechanics and doesn’t determine what any individual holder gets credited.
The protocol combination is scheduled to run across seven EVM chains: Base, Ethereum mainnet, OP Mainnet, Arc, Ink, Arbitrum and Robinhood Chain, per CoinStats, which also reported that Coinbase will support the conversion.
For Binance users, the position map runs like this: VELODROME borrowing stops October 20; loans, futures and margin actions follow October 28; Pay support ends October 30; several retail and Earn functions close November 2; spot trading and pending orders end November 3; converted AERO Flexible Products are scheduled for resubscription after 08:00 UTC on November 6. The conversion ratio for VELODROME holders is 0.044 AERO per VELODROME.
