Binance supports FIL and IOTX upgrades, drops EPIC and QUICK
Binance supports Filecoin (FIL) and IoTeX (IOTX) network upgrades while delisting Epic Chain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK) across its services, with withdrawals for the latter ending December 28.
Binance will suspend Filecoin (FIL) deposits and withdrawals at approximately 11:59 UTC on Monday, October 19, ahead of a network upgrade and hard fork targeting block height 6,470,279, expected around 12:59 UTC. Per the exchange’s Filecoin notice, FIL spot trading will continue through the upgrade window.
IoTeX (IOTX) follows on an earlier schedule. Binance suspends IOTX deposits and withdrawals at approximately 01:00 UTC on October 19, with the IoTeX hard fork at block height 53,533,081 scheduled around 02:00 UTC. Trading stays open there too, according to Binance’s IoTeX announcement.
Binance is pausing transfer rails around each chain event, not the spot market. Holders who need to move FIL or IOTX through the exchange during those windows should check the suspension times before assuming a deposit or withdrawal will go through.
The same October 14 announcement also sets out delistings for EPIC and QUICK.
Binance is withdrawing support for Epic Chain (EPIC) and QuickSwap (QUICK) across multiple Binance products. The wind-down is already underway — Buy & Sell Crypto delisted both tokens at 03:00 UTC on October 15, and margin borrowings were suspended along with isolated margin pairs at 06:00 UTC the same day. The Binance delisting notice maps out the full sequence of deadlines.
Binance Pay follows at 03:00 UTC on October 20. Futures users face an earlier hard stop: new EPIC and QUICK positions can’t be opened after 08:30 UTC on October 20, and at 09:00 UTC Binance Futures closes all open positions and runs automatic settlement. Cross, Isolated, and Portfolio Margin delistings hit at 10:00 UTC the same morning.
October 21 takes out Copy Trading and Simple Earn. Binance Spot Copy Trading removes the pairs at 03:00 UTC; Simple Earn pulls EPIC and QUICK after 07:00 UTC. Binance Convert delists both tokens and all associated pairs at 02:00 UTC on October 28 — one hour before spot trading itself ends at 03:00 UTC, along with Trading Bots services for those pairs.
Deposits will stop being credited at 03:00 UTC on October 29. Withdrawals remain available until 03:00 UTC on December 28 — that leaves 61 days between the October 28 spot-trading cutoff and the December 28 withdrawal deadline (the difference between those dates) — at which point Binance will no longer support withdrawals from the exchange.
That sequence matters for anyone with EPIC or QUICK exposure beyond a simple spot position. Futures holders face automatic settlement October 20. Margin users face product delistings the same morning. Earn, Copy Trading, Convert, Pay, and Trading Bots each carry earlier service-specific deadlines. Spot holders have until December 28 to withdraw — but deposits sent after October 29 won’t be credited.
Binance says it periodically reviews listed assets against criteria including development activity, trading volume and regulatory requirements. The delisting notice doesn’t specify which factor drove the EPIC and QUICK decision. The fact sheet contains no prior comparable Binance delisting for historical comparison.
The rationale stays unstated. The deadlines above are drawn from Binance’s notice, which specifies each cutoff date.
