Binance adds five equity-linked TradFi perpetuals
Binance is launching five new USDT-margined perpetual contracts for TradFi assets, including individual equities and leveraged ETFs, with 24/7 trading and up to 20x leverage.
Binance says five UUSDT$1.0000▲0.01%-margined perpetual contracts will launch on Binance Futures between 09:00 UTC and 09:20 UTC on August 25. Not one tracks a crypto asset. The Binance announcement names them: SKUUUSDT, SKDDUSDT, RAMUSDT, DJTUSDT and MRNAUSDT — USDT-priced, with Binance’s announcement setting a maximum leverage of 20x and 24/7 trading.
Two of the five are individual equity contracts. DJTUSDT maps to Trump Media & Technology Group Corp. Common Stock (Nasdaq: DJT); MRNAUSDT to Moderna, Inc. Common Stock (Nasdaq: MRNA). The other three are leveraged ETFs. SKUUUSDT tracks the GraniteShares 2x Long SK Hynix Daily ETF (Nasdaq: SKUU), SKDDUSDT the inverse — GraniteShares 2x Short SK Hynix Daily ETF (Nasdaq: SKDD) — and RAMUSDT the Roundhill T-REX 2X Long DRAM Daily Target ETF (Cboe BZX: RAM). In the desk’s assessment, the configuration is unusually concentrated: paired directional SK Hynix exposure plus a leveraged DRAM play.
Binance’s entry into TradFi perpetuals started with metals. XAUUSDT for gold and XAGUSDT for silver went live January 8 through Nest Exchange, a Binance entity regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of ADGM. Digital Assets Edge covered that launch and reported that Binance was the first digital assets trading platform to obtain a comprehensive set of licenses under the Abu Dhabi Global Market framework. Referring to that January metals launch, Binance vice president of product Jeff Li said it marked “a key step in bridging traditional finance and crypto innovation.”
August’s batch is two and a half times the size of that opener. Both tranches combined put Binance’s named TradFi perpetuals at seven, assuming the metals pair is still active.
