Binance adds bStocks as collateral, renames Funding Account

Binance adds three bStocks as collateral for margin trading and renames Funding Accounts to Stocks Accounts, with crypto balances shifting to Spot Accounts by January 2027.

Binance adds bStocks as collateral, renames Funding Account

Three bStocks tokens — Cypherpunk Technologies (CYPHB), AMC Entertainment Holdings (AMCB) and Axe Compute (AGPUB) — become eligible collateral for Cross Margin, Portfolio Margin and Portfolio Margin Pro at 12:00 UTC on September 23. Binance’s collateral announcement also adds corresponding bStocks pairs to the margin trading menu.

Spot markets open at the same time. A separate Binance listing notice puts AGPUB/UUSDT$0.99980.01%, AMCB/USDT and CYPHB/USDT on Binance Exchange at 12:00 UTC, with Spot Algo Trading Bots and Rebalancing Bots enabled at listing. Withdrawals follow at 13:00 UTC.

Access isn’t universal. The collateral feature is limited to VIP 3 and above users in permitted jurisdictions; the notices don’t specify which jurisdictions those are.

Maker fees on all three USDT pairs will be zero from 12:00 UTC on September 23 through 23:59 UTC on September 30 — 7 days, 11 hours and 59 minutes from the two stated endpoints. Users can also convert bStocks against BBTC$86,156.000.94%, UUSDT$0.99980.01% and other Binance-supported tokens with zero fees within one hour of spot listing.

That gap is worth noting for anyone treating these tokens as collateral rather than a straight spot position.

The account restructuring runs in parallel, and it carries a harder deadline.

Starting September 29, Binance will no longer support on-chain deposits to Funding Accounts and begins moving users’ crypto assets into Spot Accounts. Users get a “One-Click Migration” option; anything left sitting in Funding Accounts migrates automatically in batches from January 2027, per Binance’s account migration announcement. At the end of that process, Funding Account gets renamed “Stocks Account,” with no exact date given beyond January 2027. The Stocks Account will handle stocks and stocks-options trading settlement only, using six settlement assets: USD, UUSDC$0.99990.00%, USDT, USD1, U and BBNB$788.180.40%.

From September 29, assets received through Binance Card, Gift Card and Pay credit to Spot Accounts. Non-merchant P2P users with no ad history will also draw from Spot Account as the default source for buying and selling after an app update. P2P advertisers keep Funding Account as their default through December 2026, when Binance plans to introduce a separate P2P Account — and any ads not migrated to that new account get automatically closed after January 2027.

No prior comparable account restructuring is identified in the supplied Binance material.

For collateral users, eligibility is the binding constraint: VIP 3 and above, permitted jurisdictions, three named margin programs. For users who use Funding Accounts for deposits, payments or P2P activity, September 29 is the first operational deadline — on-chain deposits to Funding Accounts will no longer be supported from that date, crypto migration begins, and the rename lands sometime in January 2027.
