Binance to settle 17 margin listings Sept. 3 as BB shifts networks Sept. 1

Binance will force-settle 17 margin listings on September 3 and migrate BounceBit (BB) from its mainnet to BNB Smart Chain on September 1.

Binance to settle 17 margin listings Sept. 3 as BB shifts networks Sept. 1

Seventeen cross- and isolated-margin pair listings on Binance Margin disappear at 06:00 UTC on Thursday, September 3, according to the exchange’s margin delisting notice. Binance is also discontinuing BounceBit (BB) mainnet support after a hacking incident and the project’s decision to sunset the chain, according to the exchange’s BB mainnet support notice.

The margin wind-down runs in stages. Manual transfers and Auto-Transfer Mode for affected assets into isolated margin accounts are already disabled. Isolated-margin borrowing stops at 06:00 UTC on Tuesday, September 1. Two days after that, Binance closes open positions, automatically settles them, and cancels all pending orders across every affected cross- and isolated-margin pair.

Cross-margin pairs to be delisted: TNSR/UUSDC$0.99980.01%, SXT/USDC, TURTLE/USDC, AIXBT/USDC, and BREV/USDC. The isolated-margin list carries those same five plus USDE/USDC, WBETH/EETH$2,440.801.46%, BFUSD/UUSDT$0.99970.02%, BNSOL/SSOL$102.364.56%, SUI/BBTC$77,846.001.31%, AVAX/BTC, and LINK/BTC.

That’s 17 account-type listings total — five cross-margin and 12 isolated-margin — but only 12 unique pair names, since the five USDC pairs appear in both lists. Anyone carrying a position in one of these pairs at 06:00 UTC on September 3 faces forced closure and automatic settlement.

Binance’s announcement gives no pair-specific reasons for dropping TNSR, SXT, TURTLE, AIXBT, BREV, USDE, WBETH, BFUSD, BNSOL, SUI, AVAX, or LINK from these account types. What it does give is the sequence: borrow access cut first, forced settlement later.

BB changes networks

BounceBit mainnet deposits and withdrawals were suspended at 02:00 UTC on August 20. Binance attributes the suspension to both a hacking incident and BounceBit’s decision to permanently sunset its chain, per the exchange’s BB mainnet support notice linked above.

The replacement arrives at 07:00 UTC on September 1: deposits and withdrawals for BB via BNB Smart Chain’s BEP20 network, with Binance migrating holdings from mainnet to BEP20 at a 1:1 ratio. That BEP20 opening lands one hour after the September 1 isolated-margin borrowing suspension — worth tracking if you’re managing both exposures simultaneously.

For BB holders, the old BounceBit mainnet has no active deposit or withdrawal path as of August 20; BEP20 is what’s available going forward, in the desk’s assessment. The support notice doesn’t announce a separate spot trading delisting for BB.

A wider September 3 wind-down

Three hours before the margin settlement deadline, at 03:00 UTC on September 3, Binance also removes ICON (ICX), Secret (SCRT), and Storj (STORJ) from spot trading entirely, according to BitcoinEthereumNews.com’s account of the delisting schedule.

The wind-down for those three started well before September. Buy & Sell support ended August 21 at 03:00 UTC, with margin borrowing suspended the same day at 06:00 UTC. Binance Pay support ended August 26 at 03:00 UTC; futures were closed and auto-settled at 09:00 UTC; margin delisting across cross, isolated, and portfolio accounts completed at 10:00 UTC. August 27 at 03:00 UTC, ICX, SCRT, and STORJ were removed from spot copy trading and remaining holdings force-sold.

Deposits for all three continue until 03:00 UTC on September 4. BitcoinEthereumNews.com, citing U.Today, puts the final withdrawal date at November 3, with remaining balances automatically converted into stablecoins on November 4.

ICX holders have an extra layer. The ICON network is scheduled to shut down permanently on December 31, and ICX can be swapped 1:1 into SODA until that date. From September 30, though, that swap runs in one direction only.

BitcoinEthereumNews.com noted two earlier Binance delisting events following the same structural pattern: a six-token spot delisting on August 17, and the August 19 removal of ALCX, ARDR, NFP, and POND — both sequences moving from derivative products through spot trading and then to withdrawals. September 3 is where several of those already-announced timelines converge.
